We recognise that having a disease- and contamination-free supply of feed is of huge importance to producers of farmed fish and shrimp.
Our polychaetes are farmed in an area where none of the diseases which affect farmed shrimp exist. They are harvested and processed with the highest possible standards of biosecurity and food hygiene. As part of the process our feeds are heated, which effectively kills all bacteria.
Before sale the product is tested to confirm that it is free of the seven shrimp viruses on the OIE list.
We regularly commission additional testing. The University of Arizona Aquaculture Pathology Lab tested our dried polychaete for any traces of AHPND/EMS. We are delighted to report that all tests to date have been negative.
